Kigali City – Rwanda

The capital city of Rwanda, also known as the city of a thousand hills, has recently been eyed on by many international and African investors. The city with the green gardens and pavements is recognized by the United Nations as the green and clean city in Africa. It has also improved its MICE product and Nations from over the world are visiting it for conferencing and business meetings. Their Kigali Airport was renovated and improved, now accepting different airlines that land in it.

Nairobi City – Kenya

Nairobi City is also known as the city under the sun, is the capital city of Kenya. It has always been the favorite destination for business and travel in Africa. Nairobi City is known to be the only city in the world with a National Park. The Nairobi National Park is just 15 minutes drive from the CBD and its main hotels.

Johannesburg City – South Africa

Johannesburg, South Africa’s biggest city and capital of Gauteng province, began as a 19th-century gold-mining settlement. Its sprawling Soweto township was once home to Nelson Mandela and Desmond Tutu. Mandela’s former residence is now the Mandela House museum. Other Soweto museums that recount the struggle to end segregation include the somber Apartheid Museum and Constitution Hill, a former prison complex.

Abuja is the capital city of Nigeria, in the middle of the country. The skyline of the city, which was built largely in the 1980s, is dominated by Aso Rock, an enormous monolith. It rises up behind the Presidential Complex, which houses the residence and offices of the Nigerian president in the Three Arms Zone on the eastern edge of the city. Nearby are the National Assembly and the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

Slowly rotating cable cars climb to the mountain’s flat top, from which there are sweeping views of the city, the busy harbor, and boats heading for Robben Island, the notorious prison that once held Nelson Mandela, which is now a living museum.

Dar es Salaam – Tanzania

Dar es Salaam, a major city and commercial port on Tanzania’s Indian Ocean coast, grew from a fishing village. The open-air Village Museum has re-created the traditional homes of local and other Tanzanian tribes and hosts tribal dancing. It’s part of the National Museum, which offers Tanzanian history exhibits, including the fossils of human ancestors found by anthropologist Louis Leakey.

On nearby Mengo Hill is Lubiri Palace, the former seat of the Buganda Kingdom.

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia’s sprawling capital in the highlands bordering the Great Rift Valley, is the country’s commercial and cultural hub. Its National Museum exhibits Ethiopian art, traditional crafts and prehistoric fossils, including replicas of the famous early hominid, “Lucy.” The burial place of the 20th-century emperor Haile Selassie, copper-domed Holy Trinity Cathedral, is a neo-baroque architectural landmark.

Accra is the capital of Ghana, on the Atlantic coast of West Africa. Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park honors Ghana’s first president, who helped lead the country to independence. Popular seafront spots Labadi Beach and Kokrobite Beach offer golden sand and high-energy nightlife.
