‘Open Borders’ South Africa Tour Operators Protest
On Friday 17th July, South African Tour Operators took their frustrations to the roads in what they say is ignorance by the South Africa government not to reopen tourism in the Country.
Anger and Frustrations were taken to the road to show the government the extent to wish the tourism sector in South Africa has been affected.
South African Government, has been opening some tourism-related businesses such as restaurants, taxi operations, and the likes, but the major players like the Tour Operators, Lodge & camp Owners, are yet to receive a green light from the government.
From the ‘ToursimInMyBlood’ Facebook group, Some of their Tour Operators showed Solidarity to the protest to Save tourism.
South African Safari Destination Counterparts, Kenya Tanzania, Rwanda, Zambia, Namibia, and others are planning to open their skies to receive international guests as from 1st Aug 2020
