Zambia Reopens Air Access
Zambia announced yesterday the reopening of air borders! It is one of the first African countries to do so.
Zambia has suffered terrible economic consequences from the halt in inbound tourism and we cannot wait to see international tourists visiting us again and to support Zambia’s tourism recovery efforts in any way that we can.
We leave you with a quote from HE President E. Lungu, “We have to get back to work (…), including in the tourism sector. I am therefore announcing the immediate reopening of all international airports”
The decision was made to encourage tourists to return in an attempt to revive the economy. Domestic carriers are now able to operate, although it is not clear if any international airlines will also resume operations.
Zambia joins Tanzania and Rwanda as one of the first African countries to reopen air borders.
